Control The Mind with The Power Of Intellect - 2

Every morning, the alarm rings. We need to get up and get ready for school.

Well, the mind says - May be you can sleep for another 30 minutes.

But the intellect objects - Hey! Get up. You still have to pack your bag. And yesterday, you were late for the bus. And the teacher punished you.

And we listen to the intellect's warning and get up.

Wow! We were able to control the mind with the power of our intellect.

Moral of the story

Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj once narrated this story to teach us the following. 

Our mind is made to make desires. And the desires can be really strong. Once the desire is made, we start planning to fulfill it.

But there are principles laid down by the scriptures and the saints, there are laws both in the world and the spiritual world. And there are punishments if we break these laws. Our intellect should be built with these principles and laws.

And just like the kid's intellect made him get up, we should also use the power of our intellect to control our mind.
