Once Brahma came to know that Shri Krishna had descended on earth and he came to see Him. Shri Krishna at that time was grazing cows with His cowherd friends. They all played and then sat down to eat.
One of the Sakhas (friends) said - O Krishna! This pakori is so delicious.
And lo! Krishna stole the pakori by putting His hand in his friend's mouth.
Brahma saw this and was extremely confused. This cannot be Brahm, he thought. Shri Krishna is eating from his friends’ mouth? This certainly cannot be God.
So now Brahma wanted to test if this is really Krishna.
He stole all Krishna's friends and cows and took them to his Brahmlok. Krishna saw all of them disappear and quickly found out – OK, this is my son Brahma's miracle.
Krishna then Himself became a second copy of each of who was disappeared.
When they all went back, no one could know that the true friends had disappeared. The mothers were still feeding and loving their sons, the cows were still loving their calves and everything seemed normal. This went on for a year.
After a year, Brahma came back. He was surprised to see that all the Gwal Baal were there as they were. He said to Himself - I had stolen them all. How did they come back?
He closed his eyes to see the truth and saw Shri Krishna in every Gwal Baal and the cows. Never had he been so confused before. Krishna then did mercy and brought Brahma back to consciousness. Brahma understood that it was another magic of Shri Krishna and asked for forgiveness immediately.
Then he did stuti of Krishna in which he said - Please forgive me, how can anyone know you whose pores of the body create countless universes. You are infinite. You were all alone at the time of Mahapralay, when I was not there. How can I claim to know you?
Moral Of The Story
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj teaches us through this story that if Brahma, who created the universe from nothing, could not comprehend God, then who would do it with his intellect.
